Update for the new year

I started dialysis on December 17th and so far I am adjusting to this very well. The process is not hard. The only problem is scheduling the four exchanges per day. I have to get four in each day and I have a 4 to 6 hour window between exchanges. The exchanges only take 30 minutes or less. I am still hoping to get a kidney soon but at least I know I can do dialysis without any problems. The only issue since I have been doing dialysis is that my blood sugar levels are out of control. The dialysis solution has glucose on it and it is being absorbed in my blood and the doctors have raised my medicines to try to help to fix the levels but so far it is not working. They told me the next step is insulin and I am not looking forward to needles. Thanks to all that have contributed so far. I really appreciate all of your help.

Intro

Hi,
My name is Wayne Blair and I am 39 years old. I am married with 4 children. I was diagnosed with Kidney failure last December. I have only 10% kidney function right now and will start dialysis on Dec 17th, 2007. I have A+ blood type. If anyone would like to be tested for a possible kidney match, please call Cheryl Manley at 404 605-2252 (Piedmont Hospital). The donor cannot have Diabetes, high blood pressure or Kidney stones.
I am also looking for any donations that will help in payment for my medicines and my eventual kidney transplant. You can use my paypal account for donations. (bastid5150@bellsouth.net). Any donation will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Wayne
